  • Green manure (mustard & trfoil) and liming

I've just read a plan for crop rotation which suggests green manuring and liming after a crop of potatoes.

How long do you wait for mustard or trefoil to grow before digging in?

How soon after digging in green manure can you lime the ground?

How soon after liming can you plant: the plan suggests legumes to follow the potatoes and I want to plant broad beans this autumn?

Any green manure needs to be dug in before it reaches it's flowering stage.
