  • first allotment and a photo of my patch.

    Im new to this, hoping this will be a family affair. just where to start. my knowledge not very good, have brought a few books from bookpeople so hope they arrive soon.
    feel nervous, put my name on list over a year ago.
    anyway here is a picture of what i have to work with. a blank canvas.

            same advice we give to everyone starting out:

            - make a list of what you like to eat
            - buy seeds
            - mark your plot into at least 4 beds (I do spuds, legumes, alliums & brassicas)
            - make some kind of planting plan: what and where

            don't be daunted, it's as easy or as difficult as you make it

              Wow thats nice.

              Well done on getting your first plot, very nice too, follow Two_sheds advice on where to start.
              Where are the weeds, I can not see any weeds from the photo you posted..every body has to have some weeds

                Thats some blank canvas! looks good too. Just follow T-S's advice, hope you have a good season growing on your new plot. Ooh and welcome to the Vine.

                  WOW!!! it took me over a month to find the fence around mine, follow two sheds advice and enjoy your lottie.
