Wow, how lucky am I?!!

After only 6 months on the waiting list I have an allotment, YAY
It's just around the corner from me, and I thought it would take years to get a plot, as there are under 50 plots and there were 12 people ahead of me when I joined.
Also, it was worked until last year, and has been covered since, nothing like the jungle that I took on with my first allotment
I am soooo excited!

Congratulations on getting a plot, and the fact it's been covered means you can hopefully just get on and plant up, a big bonus. However, with the price of land in Surrey I'm surprised there was only 12 on the list before you. Seems like luck is on your side, enjoy.

Bought some potatoes today, mainly Rocket, and while I would normally chit them first, I really want to start getting something in the ground, and so am wondering if I can just plant them now? Think I remember seeing someone plant without chitting before, but can't remember the outcome
