We've just been given a ciouple of sacks of spent hops. There isn't a huge quantity and so would like to put it to the best possible use. Does anyone have any advice please? Should I add it to the compost? Are there any veg in particular that like hops?

I collect about 10 bags of spent hops from our local micro brewery once a month and use it in all sorts of ways. Its a wonderful mulch on beans, ideal for layering with kitchen scraps/allotment waste and screaded paper in the compost, for bulking out raised beds and tubs.. etc...
it holds a lot of moisture so can be used in all sorts of ways.
