Private new allotments have been set up in the Vale of Glamorgan. It is a fertile farmers field which has been ploughed, harrowed and marked out in plots. So planting can go straight ahead. It seems to have been well thought out and looks as if it will be well maintained. (Time will tell) Big drawback is the price (I know it isn't expensive compared to some parts of the country) as its £130 a year for a full plot. I am currently paying £10 a year 5 miles down the road.
