Having only been on my first plot for just a month I've managed to dig it over get rid of bucket fulls of weeds, grass and their long straggling roots of all descriptions, reclaimed the borders, it's now cultivated and raked and looking good (fortunately it'd only been left unattended for a season so coukld have been a hundred times worse). All the plots on the site run from East ot West and all established plots have their bean supports frames running across the width of the plot which is North to South, I was planning to erect my frame from East to West therefore bucking the trend but then I thought perhaps there is some established theory for support direction..... can anyone throw any light on this.
By the way I also had a dilema over wigwams or 'A' frames but checked old threads and found 'Pies' inverted 'A' support on Vegging Out, it's now a no-brainer, great design, well constructed. If you haven't seen it take a look it's great.
