When I went on the allotment waiting list last year (April 2010) I was 39th on the list, in January I was up to 28th on the list. I've just phoned today to see where I'm at and I'm 9th on the list 
I was also told that 3 people are giving up their plots. If they are full size plots they will probably be split making way for 6 plots. I could have a plot before the winter at this rate
