  • Getting my mojo back.

Thanks to HM, I am now the proud tenant (owner is the wrong word) of a half plot. It's all a bit daunting at the moment with so much to do. I have to keep telling myself "There's no rush". It's a far cry from having a few beds in the garden but with the fantastic people I have met so far, I don't think I will go far wrong. I'm not sure what hurts the most, the sunburned back or the blisters on my hands. Anyway it's good to back on the vine & also getting my hands dirty again.

Slow and steady wins the race Is it in a bad state? (The plot I mean, not your back )

slow & steady. BM took some persuading to take the plot he's now got as there were 2 availalbe. The 1 he's got needs more work in terms of clearing annual weeds & couch but the soil has been so well looked after for donkeys years by an old timer who had to give up due to ill health and it drains better in the winter as we're on clay. Come on BM show us your pics!!!!

Remember to take a step back every now and then to look at what you have achieved. Easy to get disheartened when you have lots of plans that don't (and in my experience, they won't) get done.

                    Good luck dude.

Ok, here's a couple of the plot, one of the leaning shed of Oakwood & one of the communal garden.

for those interested the shelter in the background of the communal garden photo is the remains of an anderson shelter we unearthed when we cleared an overgrown area

It looks a lovely site; and your plot is in pretty good nick by the looks of it, it's sort of cosmetic rubbish. If your plot was a person they wouldn't need cosmetic surgery, just a good haircut and a facial!! And welcome back. ;-)
