Strawberries

I have grown strawberries on my plot this year, it is their second year. I am currently in the process of moving plots. What is the best thing to do - do I just take runners (I have seen two different bits of advice, one says pot up and keep attached to mother plant and the other says remove from mother plant and pot up) or do I dig up the current plants as I should have another year in them for cropping.

I had a fantastic crop from them this year.

Any advice would be gratefully received

I'd take them including loose runners and leave any runners that have rooted.
