Write it on the spuds' labels? (if you remember to write labels
Funny thing is, I forget that I even have these problems with my memory until I am reminded !
My allotment plot costs me exactly nothing in rent, as it is unofficial. But if I stop gettting free lifts into Aberdeen because my commuter friends move house, then I expect I will have to pay £10 bus fare for every trip. Hmmm....I can see me polishing my hitching thumb yet...There's no point reading history if you don't use the lessons it teaches.

Mama H's birdy today. So it's cauli bhajis for birdy tea.
Nearly had an episode. Thought some one had filched the garlic that I harvested yesterday and left to dry. Came home and it is sat on the crazy paving in the back garden. Mother moved it thinking it would be pinched. Who the flip would want to pinch garlic.

My garlic are tiny. Their neighbours the shallots are only just beginning to split into bulbs. I despair of either of them coming to anything. Allium envy !

Good afternoon everyone. I'm really sorry that I haven't updated this thread in a while. I can only invite you to have a glance at the blog for a more detailed analysis.
I'm not very good at making the most of what grows; and very often I get told off if what I wish to make doesn't translate very well to the Bollywood Kitchen. Yesterday, I lifted a river cottage courgette chutney recipe. Is really quite Bollywood; so that's not bad. Mother currently having some with her lunch and would rather it was spicier. Can't please some folk!
Have just removed a dozen purple rainbow chillies. So means, possible experimentation with chilli jam
I have request to the mods, can this thread be stickied or not? If not, no problem

Vague plan at the moment, is to chop down soon, and then cover with card board and tarp for the autumn winter.

OOh, looks intriguing Hoblette ! How big an area is it ? Are you planning on leaving any grasses for bug/beasties/butterflies ?
I'll not ask what are you planning on planting. I know that this will change repeatedly over the coming months !
