So is the main issue with this man, the shade that his trees cast on his neighbour's plot, or that it is not maintained, or something else. Is there anything in the Allotment rules that says you must be considerate to your neighbours (sorry but its a long time since I had a plot) or that you must maintain it and keep it weed free? If so, can you use that to strengthen your case - whatever it may be. But, if he's growing veg on part and not causing a nuisance other than shade, can he not be left to do his own thing?

Steam coming out of my ears at the very thought that a plotter can allow his plot to become infested with weeds with impunity. These weeds seed and spread to neighbouring plots. "Dirty plots" are the main source of complaints on most allotment sites.

Our rules say that 75% must be cultivated ie growing veg (cut flowers and chickens are allowed) not a "wild flower " meadow or suchlike . But as someone mentioned he might be growing as permaculture I thought I'd find out what it was ......

OK. Back where we started - what he's doing is not permaculture.
