  • This year.......

I am determined to actually get some fruit on a melon. Last year I got leaves which was an improvement on the previous year when everytime a new leaf grew one of the others dropped off. I will not be beaten .........

Anyone else feel this way about something ?

I would love to have more than the one titchy melon I had last year but, more than that, I would love to grow enough peas for more than just one meal!

Yes, I had the same issue with melons last year; I did get two in the end but one split open and the flies got in before I could harvest; the other was [well] think more fried egg than melon and you get the gist.

Yes this would be nice. I keep saying I'm not going to bother with them cos I never seem to get any more than a handful for a salad. But no, every year I insist on trying again.

Binley, if you grow my squash, I can do your melon in my greenhouse

Bl***y sweetcorn!! I was all set to give up on it, and then Real Seeds sent me a different variety to try after last year's mutant weirdos... So this is it, last attempt!

My sweetcorn was bad last year and I would say most on my site had the same problem. Fear not Sarzwix, for you were not alone

This year I'd like to have enough healthy and decent sized carrots to put away for winter
Fleece, more water and regular re-sowing!

For me its definitely the sweet peppers! Hot pepper I still have in abundance but sweet peppers never matured and tasted horrible last year.
