In Scotland, we are entitled by law to have a single shed, greenhouse, fowl house and pig stye. No question of planning consent being needed but the local authority can dictate type, construction location and anything else by making a regulation that has to be confirmed at Government level after publication and full public consultation to give any such regulation legal force.

Oh but that we were in Scotland................ here dummies are being spit out faster than teddies being lobbed from prams. I thought that allotments were community led initiatives. It would appear they are, but only if everyone gets everything they want from the of. I even have one guy demanding the plot 'he has viewed' is rotovated and cultivated BEFORE he takes possession. I'm beginning to think trying to set up allotments for people when you don't actually want one yourself is a little stupid!
