  • Beneficial soil microbes for vegetables

Having heard that growers of exhibition quality vegetables swear by the use of beneficial fungi such as mycorrhizal species, I wondered whether they've been tried on normal veg crops. Here's an interesting read about them Plant Strengtheners - dragonfli

I did a trial on leeks - and the best results by far were with seaweed feed. These came second though.

I tried some on my exhibition peas last year. I didn't grow any without though so I can't really comment on the success of the exercise.

I think it was dragonfli that Monty was using on Gardeners World 16.03.12 for planting climbing roses against a wall. Certainly looked like a similar tub. I bought T&M which comes in a packet. Only just started using it and this year it will go in with toms. I havent got enough space to do a side by side test.

I use Rootgrow on all planted trees, shrubs, etc. but I wouldn't waste it on veg.
