  • To feed or not to feed, that is the question......

Actually the question is more in terms of when, where, what and how often should I feed my lovely vege plants, in particular, onions, potatoes, peas/beans, squash and fruit trees. Does feeding help to prevent viruses?

Thanks for advice ( in anticipation)....

well, healthy plants are more able to shrug off pests & diseases, but overfeeding does more harm than good

Feeding does not as far as I know prevent viruses. A lot depends on where and how you are growing your plants. If in containers then feeding will be required. If in open ground then maybe not.

Overfeeding can cause too much soft lanky growth, which is more susceptible to weather & insect damage (soft tissue is much easier for aphids to feed on, for instance).
