Was nice to finally meet you and Alldigging on Sunday it was a bit of a rush visit but was good to get a live view of your allotment and to think you guys are just 10 min down the road from me
I got the Blackcurrent twigs Alldigging gave me in the back garden until such time as they go to their pertinent home on my allotment, If you got the details for the netting you talked about and if you guys have some numbers for scaffolding planks just message me.
Just out of curiosity, what've you got growing under the plastic bottle cloches?
I have some bare rooted strawberries that I bought from Aldi under the pop bottles.
I had to get them into the ground - I think I may have been too late with some of them as they haven't got any greenery on them at all so far, but I had to try rather than just throwing them away.
Just a tip on the netting 2m wont give you a high enough peak for the taller brassicas so you might want to consider 3m you can always wad any excess up. I speak from experience as I will be having to stitch the damn netting together this year for the brussels or build a proper cage with wood sections shudder..

Ah - but I have a cunning plan to deal with super-tall brassicas.
If needed I am going to build a square frame the same size as the base of the curved frame and net the sides of that so I can fit the original frame on top and lift as much as I want without having to make all my frames super-sized.

March Week 4 on the Allotment - Video Update (delayed due to technical issues)
I have finally managed to get my technical issues sorted and have got another vidoe of my progress posted.
It's slightly ouit of synch with the others, being about three weeks late but I have still posted it in as these are mainly for my own purposes to be able to look back in the future and see how far I have come (or not, as the case may be)
Anyway, I hope that you enjoy it, please post any comments below or on YouTube
The bench looks like a daybed.
I had one of those tree onions but I grew it as an ornamental plant in my borders at my old house. It grew to about 2 and a half feet high and had loads of the bulbuls on it. It was really nice.
I enjoyed the tour round again, thank you.
