Thanks to Ananke, Wizzbang, Alldigging and Stelladays for your comments.

I am going to grow the Walking Onion as a perennial to start with and eventually harvest a few of the onions to see how they taste.

I'm glad that you all like the video and I hope you keep watching my future offerings to see how both my plot and the entire allotment develop.

I enjoyed watching your tour growing in my back garden I never get to see what anyone else is doing. I've also got tree onions they're in their 3rd year and have spread a fair bit.
        Location....East Midlands.

And there I was, thinking I had got something unusual, but it seems everyone has got some

Is there anyone out there without any walking onions??

The tour was really interesting Samurailord. The while site looks really nice and it seems very well ordered. I know it's impossible to tell from a video, but there's a friendly look about the place.

The bench is fabulous! Well done to whoever had that idea.

Hope you manage to get the pond fixed up before the tadpoles hatch. Will be interested to see how your funny onion gets on, I can't quite picture these bulbils (I assume you eat them like normal onions?)

April Week 4 on the Allotment - Video Update

Another update - the path to my decking and polytunnel is completed and the rhubarb has been transplanted into its proper home.

Signs of life on all the other fruit bushes and progress inside the polytunnel

I hope that you enjoy this week's installment

                    • Its time for another video update whch was taken over the Bank Holiday Weekend.

The decking is 99% completed and I have finally decided to get a new liner for my pond after the third attempt at a patch failed.

I hope that you enjoy watching, and please let me have your comments, both good and bad.

                      Thanks

                      • Watched the latest video during the week Andy. Your plot is really coming along nice work

Shame you've had to replace the pond liner though.

                        • Thanks Hamesy

I really had no choice with the liner - I have spent about £15 on failed repairs, and the new liner was only £33 so I should have gone for it straight away.

I have come to a point where I can't continue with much more structural work on the plot without more bark chippings or scaffolding boards , so I am concentrating on getting everything ready for sowing direct.

Hopefully I will have plenty more to show over the coming weeks.

                              • Good vids as usual Andy, i lifted up my blow away green house on wooden battens and plywood and then screwed it down to plywood, it worked like a dream, think it might be the way forward for yours.

                                Thanks
