Thanks BB.
It seems that most peoples' rhubarb is acting strangely.
I have one at home which is unaffected, but that one was very late to show (as always) so I am wondering if it was the spring conditions that have caused them all to flop over?

Thanks for posting these Andy - the plot looks great. It'll be interesting to see what happens to your 'everlasting' broccolli!
I share your frustration about the slugs - hopefully this run of dry weather will make them retreat for a while.
You'd asked about the couple of potato plants which had keeled over - have you checked the stems for blackleg? I had to pull a couple of my plants out with it, to stop it spreading. Might be a possibility? Potato blackleg/RHS Gardening

Hi WPG
I hadn't even heard of Blackleg before, but the pics on the RHS website do look like the two plants I have lost.
I didn't check the stems, but I have another which appears to be going the same way so I will check it out and dispose of it if it is diseased.

I checked the potatoes over the weekend, no sign of any rot on the stems at all so I dug up three plants.
One small tuber was rotten, but it looked as if it had been slugged and then water had gotten in. All the rest were fine, and tasted very nice whan we had them for tea last night.
