Am planning to invest in a cheapy incinerator at the weekend, one of those ones that look like a dustbin with a chimney. I have some dry chick pea plants, some dried sweetcorn plants and a some woody chilli plants to dispose of - they're under tarpaulin so hopefully won't be too damp to burn. Going to have a burn over the weekend, as bonfires are banned at our field on Mondays, some ancient rule about Monday being washday.
ALERT! Daft questions coming up.
1. What should I do with the ash? Is it OK to dig into the plot?
2. How do you get the fires started - is it safe to use some sort of firelighter or fluid to get it going if I'm going to dig the ash in?
3. Any other advice.
Thanks, fellow pyros.
