Hi two sheds Thanks for the info on Glyphosate I'm assuming I would get that from the garde3n centre but I also take it I wont be able to grow any spuds this year though so I have to make a decision to spray or not to spray? Could I not spray this after the spuds come up then leave?

You need to dig out what you can, and then plant your potatoes. The potato foliage will shade out a lot of the weeds. Do not use glyphosate when or where any crops are growing. When you harvest your spuds you can dig out a lot of the couch grass roots too.
Thanks Rustylady and Samurailord I will take your advice on hand \rusty and Samurai that would be good i'm over in Newton Heath so not a problem sorting something out once I get sorted.
