Redug the first plot and filled a bag with couch grass roots with lots more to come. then just pottered round tidying up the plot.

I took garden photos especially for here but they wont upload because they're far too big and I have no idea how to resize them.

Ok me and a few from the garden club got the shed up today we just need to felt the roof get the windows sorted and attach the doors these sheds are so flimsy these days.

Ah ok lol Not been near the flats over that way - I think they've all been done up and painted nice now!

The flats in Newton Heath have been painted a few years back The garden club was meant for the schools to bring the kids down unfortunately the very first day they bought the kids a guy was getting a beating outside the allotment so the kids where put back on the bus and that was it. Lets hope all goes better this time.

I used to get the blue bus that went past the flats a lot.
What a tiny site! Is that 4/5 plots?

Yes along Scotlandhall Road and Amos Avenue. It works out as 10 plots when all split but yes it's tiny toilets going in front of the derelict plot as there is a main drain running right through my plot where the path runs. So they are looking to plumb into that at some time???

I think Oldham has one site that has 6 .. so it isn't the smallest in the area

Oh that'll be interesting - although if it's a proper loo it'll need a water main - have you got water on site? And who'll pay the bills? Is that what the funding for community garden thing is for?

Our site decided we'd not give £££££ to the water board to get water put on.

Yes we have water onsite or will have when they sort the plumbing out that the council messed up I have my name down for the one at the end of Broadway but last time I checked I was 22nd on the list at first we will have a camper toilet then when the council pull their finger out we hope for a proper one.

Hawthorns are they milk bottles being used as edgings on the other side???
