Hi everyone i am new to this site and fairly new to allotment growing,i have bought a rotovator with finger tines,can anyone tell me what these tines are for?.i have dug my plot and my intention was to break the soil down with these tines,am i on the right track? many thanks

They make a finer crumb ( tilth???- is that the right word??)
So you use them in the final rotovation.
I found that they also picked up stray weeds which had been turned over- so they tended to clog if you've not removed the bulk of the weeds/roots."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Yep,it's a Mantis AP & those tines really do get thatch & moss out of my lawn,I really must get myself organised enough to follow up with the scarifier attachment this year thoughHe who smiles in the face of adversity,has already decided who to blame
