Funding for new allotment.

we are at the beginning stages of putting a new allotment together. So far a place has been identified and the negotiations with the council are ongoing.

We had our second committee meeting just to get some roles and get things under way, I have been tasked with trying to get funding for the site.

So far it is totally undeveloped and once everything with the council are finished we will need to fence it and get everything else done.

I am hoping someone will be able to point me in the direction of where to look to get the funding as I have never done anything like this before so need some pointers.

Try a google search for Stonehaven Allotments.

Their website is great and tells the story of setting up the allotments, how they progressed and went about loads of stuff. We are trying to do the same at Alford, and I have found their site really useful so far.

We have 'voluntary action oldham' here in Oldham that assists groups with funding finding.

Do a few searches for grants in your area, funding, etc
