Looks great Toby.. Hope you get many years of cropping as a reward for all the effort in putting it together...I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
...utterly nutterly

Thanks for the encouragement folks! I had an idea in the night about how to anchor it to the ground. Was planning on using some long lengths of reinforcing bar to peg it down but in addition to this ...... I am thinking of digging a trench around the outside perimeter and burying the bottom 12 inches or so of the skirt of the plastic sheet. This will put a lot of weight on the cover and will help atop the bunnies getting in too. Any thoughts?

The timber struts are divided into 3 groups of lengths and bolted together in a repeating pattern. If you google desert domes and go to the dome calculator it works all of the lengths out for you. The reverse dome calculator is useful too. Hope this helps.

Ahh sorry. I understand now. The prices of wood vary in profile as they were just packing timbers from fence posts. Most of them are about the same as a standard roofing lath - maybe 3/4 of an inch by 2 inches or thereabouts. I have found a supplier for uv treated 800 gauge polythene. I reckon I'll need 11 metres by 11 metres - costs just over 100 quid.
