  • it was worth the effort

    yesterday i had a day tidying up at my plot that i have had since march this yr i took[ with me a flask of home made pumpkin soup from a pumpkin i grew i sat on the bench i made and rembered when i first took the plot on full of weeds brambles couch grass and very satisifeid with myself i thought ........yes it was all worth it ....and the soup was nice too

                    It looks great.

                    Way I look at it is, you're sitting there after getting some exercise and fresh air, enjoying the sense of achievement, and the soup. Definately win/win.

                      Well done. It looks really good.

                      I think for me, and probably most of the human race, the feeling depends on quite a lot. I've had days down there and left it wondering what I'd done all day and other times I've spent half an hour down there but left with a real sense of achievement. Strange thing this allotment lark.
