There is no potato that is immune to blight, but earlies are usually lifted before blight comes along (in late summer).

Rather than befuddling your brain with so many choices, go down the shop and see what they have. It's not likely to be that many.

If you go to a Potato Day they will have flavour & growing advice, plus you can speak to the seller direct.

There are several varieties here that "claim" to be blight resistent.

To put my two-penn'orth in, I would recommend going to a potato day if you can.

You will have many more varieties to choose from, plus lots of helpful advice and I have found them to be quite a bit cheaper than the local garden centres or online suppliers too.

Always seem to have plenty of choice (more than any garden centre or mail order) and standard prices are usually about 20p a tuber....again generally cheaper than anywhere else.

Check out dundry nurseries near Cheltenham. Their website has details of loads of varieties and a search function to pick out what you're looking for, colour, disease resistance, flavour, etc.

The absolute latest to buy is an hour before you intend to plant them. Any time before that is fine

Me? 10 rods

I grow a bit of everything, except sprouts, Jerusalem fartichokes & cauliflower

wastage? Nothing goes to waste. Peelings, spare veg & weeds go through the guinea pigs. Their poop & anything not eaten is put in the compost heap.
If you can't eat everything, freeze it, give it away or compost it: none of that is what I'd call "wasteful"
