If I remember rightly, it was a Charity that owned the land.

Patricia did say that her Dad had been advised that if he wanted to complain he should contact a charity who presumably own the allotments. However, she didn't say which charity and although I asked her sometime this afternoon I don't know whether she replied.

She now only appears to only have one post on the Forum, which is the one at the start of this thread.

Is the site council owned/run? If it is you could go over their heads. If you can get some evidence so much the better. It may not work but it doesn't sound like you will have much luck with the committee. It may not work and could make the situation worses.

Its difficult to say if you should do it and probably only you and your dad can decide. But it does seem wrong that they get away with what they are doing. Good luck with wharever you decide.

This makes me very angry, sometimes we just have to accept these things. I would as a priority get my name down on another allotment but I know he probably doesnt want that.If he can't get support from other allotment holders or solid evidence the owners of the allotment are his only chance.

You find that so often. People who want to have control of the site tend to elect themselves to the committee, so that they can.

Makes me glad that the committee I chair is not at all like that.

Go to the council, arrange a meeting with your father, this is so distressing. Record any incidents, take photos on phone, even the fact that you have taken some action may act as a deterrent. So sorry.

The OP hasn't been back to the Vine since posting so we'll just have to hope it has.
