Please slap me down and tell me to "go forth and multiply"

However, as part of the database of the forum, should we not be getting a detailed profile of each and every crop that you can grow in pots, on the lotty and in the garden.

Things like varieties, sowing methods and times, growing on, harvesting etc.

Distance between plants and rows, poor or rich soil, and time of sowing/planting etc etc could all be included.

    What do you think ?

I find you get quite a bit of that info on the back of the seed packet.

Every garden patch is different, every year is different, every variety of seed is different. Gardening is not a precise science, (except maybe with indoor hydroponics), especially when you factor in the vagaries of British weather.

As Bren says, there's plenty of info in the growing guides, and on the web generally, plus it's easy to ask, which is what the forums are for - to ask, to discuss, to compare, to chat.
      Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
      Endless wonder.

That would assume we all grow in the same way.....

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
