Hi,
Sorry if this has been asked before but if you don't have specific beds for your veg then is it just a case of don't grow them in the same spot each year. This might sound thick but if i grow peas this year then the following year how far away from the row can i so them (does that make sense ) until i get all my veg patch sorted i am a bit restricted on space.

That's pretty much it. The reason you shouldn't grow them in the same space each year is due to an increased chance of diseases which affect each family.

I have my plot on a four year rotation. The plans for next year are being constructed by the Mrs. at the moment, and will be available for all to see on the blog - the four beds are brassicas, cucurbits, legumes and root veg like carrots and parsnips.

The other reason for not growing things in the same place together is because different families have different needs ie you wouldn't manure a bed that was to have carrots grown in it next year, if that makes sense.
