The plot was stood empty for 3 yrs. The man who left them said he could have them. I think he's had long enough.
I've told him Saturday it will be fenced off. He has while then to move them. He replied by saying I haven't been there long enough to tell him when to move them (I've had a plot there for nearly 2 yrs and took on another 2 recently) and that I won't be there much longer if I carry on.
All the other plot holders hate him with a passion as far as the allotment gossip goes. He used to run them but fell out with the land owner so the job was passed to someone else.
The man in charge said he don't want to know about all the disagreements so he has while Saturday.
Well if vthe man who left said he could have them then he should've taken them before you were given the plot ..nothing to do with how long you've been on site . Also it sounds like he's making a threat, report it to the committee or whoever is in charge...threats and intimidation should be stomped on.
S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig a batch of jam is always an act of creation ..Christine Ferber
Sounds like a truly unpleasant person. Do you even have a committee? From your comments it sounds like the land is privately owned. I think you've been more than reasonable and he's had fair warning. If he really wanted the leftovers surely he would have claimed them by now. Probably just trying to assert some dominance over you. I'd ignore him and hope he goes away.
and that I won't be there much longer if I carry on.
PMSL Sounds like our pretend site manage, the old crow i've had problems with. Got to love these idiots who think they can snap thier fingers and you disapear knowing that i'm afraid you have no other choice but to bend over and take it ( NOT ) hope you laughed at him and told him to sling it and nothing was coming of this new plot?
What was left on the plot when he gave it up is now yours, if he insists it's his, charge him rent for looking after it. It sounds like he's just a chancer but you can always find out who had the plot before you, ask your site manager if you have one or neighbours if you don't, but don't just accept his version of events.
