  • Manure and no dig

I can get hold of some cow manure. If I spread it over the weeds where I want my beds to be and leave it over winter can I plant in it when we get to spring?

    Thanks

Put cardboard down first then the cow muck.

I'd put cardboard down first before putting the manure on - just to help kill off the weeds, but it should be fine for planting in be spring.
What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?

Scrape away the manure, a bit, where you want to plant and then plant "through" the cardboard.

(Assuming that I am answering the right question!!)

You can also put a bit sheet of plastic on top of the cardboard and manure layers. I've never tried it but some folks swear by it.
