    Great post KoA, and Alison.

After witnessing and rescuing birds in distress from neighbouring plots due to netting just "flung" over things - I've made the effort to build portable cages with debris netting stapled on for things like brassica, salad leaves, etc.

All from reclaimable stuff (excluding the screws and staples).
.......because you're thinking of putting the kettle on and making a pot of tea perhaps, you old weirdo. (Veggie Chicken - 25/01/18)

Respect to you for your kindness of heart, dear Kevin.

      A blessing on your soul.
Pain is still pain, suffering is still suffering, regardless of whoever, or whatever, is the victim.
      Everything is worthy of kindness.
