As Two Sheds said both will improve you soil structure. Manure will perhaps provide more nutrients for you soil but avoid using where you want to grow carrots as it is though to encourage roots to fork. I would use it for potatoes. Mushroom compost contains lime so your brassicas would prefer it.
I was a little slow on the uptake with the group manure purchase at my allotments and seeing the price of £5 a bag at the garden centre for 50 litres I decided to enquire on Freecycle.
A lovely lady with horses a few miles away has said that she would be happy to collect bagfuls of organic well-rotted manure from her property whenever I need it for the rest of the year.
I am guessing in Cambridgeshire there should be someone nearby to you willing to give it to you next time, even if it does mean collecting (which I guess you are doing currently from a garden centre).
