This is a horrible thing to happen, I would be going for maximum compensation, maybe a new poly tunnel more manure and new plants to start with.

You need to maximise the apparent damage take lots of pictures, your family looking at it with tears in their eyes, maybe borrow a puppy and picture him floating in a bucket looking very sad. Make a huge list of all the work you have done and mention you have no veg to eat now. Perhaps send some pics to the local paper. Words like devestated, stressed and suicidal will add to the drama. best of luck.

Haha! I have LOTS of pictures, as was down taking pics twice a day for the allotment officer who was away. I'd been on my plot the day before so have pics of it literally 24 hours before. Mine isn't so bad really, a days work to fix my beds (none broken! just dislodged, and some warping) but the person next to me is completely ruined. I've taken lots of pics for them as they no doubt should get any compensation. Mine is more loss of work, diesel running things about, lots of my wood has warped, manure. nothing *too* serious although i'd rather it didn't happen.

Am heading down there tomorrow for a proper look in my wellies

Thank you all for your concern, it's been lovely being able to vent at people who understand my frustrations. And just like I said, the weather has been PERFECT this week until tomorrow, when it's forecast to turn rubbish again. Sod's law in full effect !

Lovely weather today, managed to finally get round to fixing the last bits of damage on my plot. Sorted through the wood pile and stacked up stuff to burn due to warping.

Was feeling really happy with the plot, until I went in the shed and realised that the water had risen enough to dislodge the lid from the seed box plus the brick on top, and now vermin had gotten into my seeds and split all the bags/eaten some. So I'm very, very p!$$£d off right now
