I have lots of tools which were my Dad's in my plot shed. I wouldn't be so upset about the stuff of my own but my Dad's stuff is special. makes me think I should maybe take it home but it is a real pleasuring thing using it.
I just don't understand people. Vandalism, petty theft etc. etc. It is consequences of their actions and the impact - its horrible. I would like to say they need educating and help but quite frankly I just want them to end up in a world of pain for being so vile
We had a real problem about 4 years ago - when over a period of about 2 weeks there were multiple sheds, wooden fencing and pallet compost bins set alight.
The local police force, especially the police community officer guy were brilliant. They added the allotments to their patrolling area and had several meetings with the kids who hung about the nearby park (although we couldn't say it was them to blame).
We have the odd isolated incident now and again - but the police, to their credit, still make the occasional visit (and must think who is that dafty still trying to dig in the darkness).
.......because you're thinking of putting the kettle on and making a pot of tea perhaps, you old weirdo. (Veggie Chicken - 25/01/18)
