Potato days are great!
There will be more spud varieties than you could ever grow in a gardening lifetime, and they are all available to buy by the tuber - so you can buy exactly how many you need for your growing space. And they are cheap to buy - 17p a tuber at the Shrops potato day last weekend (or any 10 for £1.50).
You can often get onions/shallots and maybe peas and bean sold loose too - I bought a half pint jug of crimson flowered broad beans for £2 - which is loads!
Really happy with the whole day - all for £1 admission and free tea and coffee (they ask for donations).
Also a great place to meet other gyo loonies - er - enthusiasts.
