What spacing do others use between rows of peas. Seems to be conflicting views on this as far as I can see 6", 12"", 18", 24". I was thinking on 24" to give me room to pick and thought the plants would not want to be too close together.

I know it doesn't affect everybody, however you may want to consider protection when it comes to spacing.
The birds at our allotments will have them scoffed in an instant.
It's not a major issue - but I would factor in netting and ease of access when planning to sow/plant your peas........because you're thinking of putting the kettle on and making a pot of tea perhaps, you old weirdo. (Veggie Chicken - 25/01/18)

As I get older and find I am not as supple as I used to be I tend to plant things further apart than recommended to give myself more room to manoeuver for weeding and harvesting.Last edited by greenishfing; 22-02-2015, 05:56 PM.
