Covering ground DPM

HI, daft question but would green thick DPM be just as good as black to cover ground to kill off grass and weeds?

I have no idea why but having tried all three I can categorically assure you that black is best....green and blue don't work nearly as well. Even if they are thicker and to our eyes appear to block light, I suspect they must allow uv or something through.

Interesting point that. Could be something to do as well with temperature the black one has higher temperature to actually bake the weed and seed underneath?

as long as it is thick membrane, color doesn't mater..is what I felt from my experience!
