hi all. need a greenhouse, with 4mm polycarbonate,
seen some on ebay quite cheap,
but need something that lasts.
what is the best make out there,

I purchased this model from ebay at the end of last year, and erected it pretty much straight away. I only paid 170 for it, as i won it on auction. By the way one 6fy by 8 ft has just gone for 180.

Just to add. If you do buy one of these or similar buy plenty of silicon for each and every panel and postcrete the base spikes in or anchor it down as there is not a lot of weight in the completed finish.

What size greenhouse are you looking for and how much can you afford? I haven't got a greenhouse yet but have been looking at Aluminium Greenhouses - Nison 'EaZi-Click' Range - nison greenhouses range which look pretty sturdy.


I compared a built up one at a retailer against a similar size using w clips and one where the panels slide in (all three were outdoors in a windy area and have been since last year).

The w clip one had loads of silicone sealant applied which made it visually unappealing, the slide in looked OK but the Nison looked and felt sturdier (with me inside and out giving it a good shake).

It was also a bit higher in the eaves as the slide in was about 3 foot (depends on manufacturer) but this one was about 5. I also like the fact that should a panel need to be replaced you don't have to partly disassemble it all.
