  • tiny black beetles on sprouts

They are munching seedling leaves. Am handpicking them off but they jump and I think I'm losing! They have a debris netting cage but I appreciate can't keep everything out. Any advice on what they are and what I can do would be appreciated, thanks!

Sound like flea beetles. They are a nuisance but never worried too much about them. I have heard of running a board with double sided tape over the plants so they jump up and stick to the board.

Yeah there Flea beetles. I tried the sellotape route not sticky enough for those little buggers, also sprayed with all sorts of things, still no joy. Then i read that once that have got well and truly stuck into something they hang about. So in my case it was a row of spinach. I have left them to it and planted another row else where. The funny thing is either side of the old spinach row are two untouched rows of lettuce ?.
