    Welcome to the boards.

Looks like you have the makings of a fantastic plot there, and some knowledgeable neighbours too!

    Keep up the good work.

After looking at some images on google it looks a bit like chickweed.

Thinking once I have made a nice pile of weeds I might rent a rotavator to turn it all over and then I can start digging out some paths and mounding up some beds.

Just drawn up a rough guide as to what I was planning.

The 4ft bit on the left is for the exisiting compost bin and small tool box and maybe a coldframe.

2ft paths and 3ft beds, giving me 5 beds and a bit of room at the end.

Looks like a good start point.

The only comment I would make is whether you might want to bisect the beds with a narrow path (horizontal on your plan). At the moment you've got about 7 paces to walk from the half way down a bed to the other side of the same bed. You'll be tempted to walk on the bed to get across it. The downside of course is you lose a little bit more growing space.

Just a thought, maybe just see how it goes and change later if you think it helps.

            Supersprout...

Can someone explain this method to me?? it seems really effective but I'm not sure how it works....

I already have 4 beds 4 m x 1.3m and other space that's been suppressed for next year. Can I use this method on an existing plot.

            Thanks in advance
