How to make my garden grow

I have a small veg plot for 4years now and had quite a bit of success
This year however nothing is growing!
I grow in raised beds and changed the soil using a well known online providers vegetable compost mix!! Manure,compost and top soil mix
For some reason nothing is growing and I'm baffled. Nothing is dying off, just not growing
Never come across it before
Can anyone help please ?

To be honest every vegetable has different growing requirements so we need more info. What are you growing, did you start in modules, when did you plant out, have you fed and watered them, have you got / looked for any pests etc? Photos would help

I've pretty much done the same as in other years
Beet root and carrots sown direct at the end of May
Carrots still only 3cm high. !
Recently sowed some lettuce direct from new seeds ... Didn't germinate, same with radish and spinach
Potatoes just coming into flower fingers crossed they will have a decent crop - time will tell
Climbing French beans bought from garden centre and planted out end of May still only one foot high
Courgettes that I usually have no problem with planted end of May and only just about doubled in size, still very small
Tomatoes in baskets planted out in May still looking as when I bought them
Watered regularly and used chicken poo pellets as previous years scattered onto the beds
Any advice greatly appreciated

Frustrating isn't it! French beans and courgettes really don't like the cold, and June had quite cold overnight temperatures. Without knowing your location, and assuming you are UK based, I suspect they might have been chilled and are sulking. Sometimes they never recover from a chill.
Conversely lettuces won't germinate when temperatures are high, again guessing your location, it has been warm in some places of late. I find radishes are better early in the year and never have much luck with them this time of year.

Hi and welcome!
My direct sown carrots and beetroot haven't germinated and the courgettes didn't get going either.
I don't normally direct sow and won't be doing it again either. As for the courgettes. I started more in modules a couple of weeks ago and they're being planted out this weekend.
As the others have said, the weather has been weird this year and lots of plants have been sulking.

PS: Re your problem. Whereabouts are you?

Have you tried a liquid based feed i.e. Phostrogen or MiracleGro or your own mix?
Water with this in the morning + hours of sunshine ... Should work!

Can empathise with you, weather-wise it's been a bit of an odd season. I'm finding my brassicas and most root crops are thriving, but things like courgettes and squash have been at a virtual standstill since planting out several months ago.

phew - glad it's not just me that's having a slow growing season! The only thing that seems to be doing well is the weeds!

I'm just glad i'm not trying to be self sufficient as i'd starve at this rate
