IBC to Garden hose connections

Hi all , I have got myself a 1000 litre IBC and want to connect a garden hose to it.

The IBC has a built in hand valve on the base and a cap with a hole drilled in it (probably used to have a hose connected).

I have a screwed hoselock type connector , I just need a bit of threaded pipe with 2 nuts but cant find them anywhere , anybody done this ?

Try eBay, we bought some very cheap adapters that changed the IBC outlet to a standard water butt outlet fitting

Good 'un Alison I need one as well so did a search & found .... IBC HOZE HOSE PIPE STILLAGE TANK 60MM SCREW ON REDUCER CAP TAP WATER FITTING | eBay ... that's gonna save me a fortune over getting fittings from the farm shop

just an update - I found a very cheap solution for all those who have IBC and have a cap - just buy a garden hose tap adapter 3/4 inch like this one Wickes Universal Garden Hose Tap Connector | Wickes.co.uk and drill a hole through your IBC cap they only cost a pound and are on sale in most poundshops most of the con artists on fleabay are charging £5 for these
