We're seriously considering raised beds for next year as my veg garden is rather flooded also.

Our neighbours have has (what I now know are French Drains) put into their field, and they are just as flooded as I am.

Mrs Dobby, I was wondering about rice also!

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

I can add to the moaning about the rain (see Weather-climate, Midlands)
I too am considering raised beds, but with a large site it's going to cost a lot so I'm not sure if its worth it or if I should just soldier on.
