Lottery Funding

This thread is a continuation of "Alllotment Communal Areas". As it is a specific request for advice I wanted to change the title....

Anyway, after inspiration from the previous thread I have decided to try and apply for lottery funding to change our communal area into a orchard/picnic area with a polytunnel and a communal shed with equipment to share.

Has anyone applied previously for an allotment? Any hints or tips?
