Is it worth growing/standing containers on it?sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

Whatever you grow in it, you've still got the stones to deal with.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

What about something shallow rooted like Raspberries .sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

Sounds like a plan, you could move the stones around the planted hole to help anchor them down.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

Might sound daft but I would try raspberries, gooseberries and black/red currants. Dig the holes with some manure at the bottom and mulch them in with wood chippings and ignore the area until you pick the fruit. Then top up the mulch.
watch the raspberries don't "travel" and enjoy.
