Hi everyone
I've had an email this week to say I'm now top of the waiting list for a half plot at my first choice of allotment sites (there are three sites). The person managing them doesn't seem to think I will have to wait all that long and the renewals are due in April. I've subscribed to the magazine and have been lurking a while, so trying not to get too over excited and buying loads of things whilst I am waiting for 'that' email.
A bit about me, I was practically raised on a commercial plant nursery run by my grandfather, had my own little garden aged about 12 (complete with pond) and lived on a small holding breeding rare breed hens and ducks for a while. Sadly, I now live in a rented house where I am not allowed to grow anything (think the landlady had disasters with previous tenants) and my garden is literally grass right up to the edges all around. So I signed up for an allotment as my surrogate garden. I also have two teenage sons and three dogs.
Looking forward to reading more.
