Favourite flowers among the veg?

I need more flowers on the plot! What are your faves for in between your veggies?

I've got a Tulip patch, always loads of Nasturtiums, which look good, act as a blackfly and cabbage white distraction and are edible and Marigolds which are a greenfly deterrent.

Skeggijon, I've ordered some marigold 'Mexican' which look good and are edible, too. I didn't know that some aren't meant for eating ...
I was put off buying nasturtiums because of their self-seeding habit ...

I love poppies and always have them - this year I'm adding sweet peas, cosmos, marigolds and nasturtium. Next year I want dahlias, chrysanthemums, pansies and violas, tulips and daffodils.

I always ensure I have lots of daffodil bulbs in. They cheer me up on cold February mornings. They are followed by wallflowers.
Nasturtiums are all over the place, pot marigolds too (although none have germinated this year...need some new seed to get them going again. I have sweet williams dotted about as well (I lurve sweet williams).
Sweet peas are a must for the plot and for home. It breaks my heart to pick flowers but with sweetpeas you have to so I don't feel guilty
I grow goldenrod for the bees, comfrey for the fertiliser, I like lavender at the ends of the beds where it tends to get too dry for a lot of veggies and of course, lots of sunflowers for me and for the birds.

I also always let one of each type of brassica flower, lettuces too, in case the bees were intently watching and waiting, licking their tiny lips...

I'm a big fan of flowers on the veggie plot....and veggies in the flower beds at home

That's actually one of the things I quite like about Nasturtiums. I've get patches all over, but they're relatively easy to remove if they sprout up in the wrong place.
Oh forgot, I believe it's actually a legal requirement that you have Sweet Peas on an allotment

Oh forgot cosmos! The big white and pink ones that grow to chest high...I always have those

I have whatever was cheap or reduced.

Latest was box plants 50p each (which I will eventually shape into fetching models of dragons/flying birds/elephants/dogs........not ), marigolds £1 for tray and pansies £1.79 for loads in a tray.

Lovely, thanks folks! Everyone else on the site seems to grow cosmos like it's a rule... they look gorgeous. I usually do marigolds, sunflowers and sweet peas, just wanted a bit more this year.
