  • My new allotment

    I've had a look around the allotment and I LOVE IT!!

    Got the keys today. Does need a bit of work doing on it. Comes with 2 greenhouses.

    There is a strawberry bed, some rhubarb that needs to be harvested and same with carrots.

    Looks great! 2 greenhouses! Lucky lucky.

    You'll soon get that whipped into shape bit by bit.

                Looks well set up. I doubt the carrots will be up to much as they will be in their second year, and getting ready to flower so could be woody. Worth having a try though.

                  Congratulations Carrie,that looks like you will soon have it in shape,what i have i could send you is,some onion sets and leeks,grown from seed,like me they will be later going in,and a chance what size they get to,also a few tom plants,if you do PM your addy,and some are yours,by the time i get em ready,you will have a place for them,all the best with your new space lass.

                      Fantastic, 2 greenhouses is amazing I hope you really enjoy your new allotment for many years to come. Look forward to seeing photos of the progress as well.
                      LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                        That looks like the previous tennant just walked away last month. You are one lucky lady having all that infrastucture in place. I can imagine you're going to enjoy being there and making it your own.

                          Is frog hoppers(cuckoo spit) any danger to plants?

                          I've noticed there is quite a few froth on some leaves.
