Thanks, Ive wanted an allotment for years so maybe im too enthusiastic! I want to get a full growing year in next year

Yes he is a newfoundland, he loves coming up the allotment but he can only come up during the winter, its just too hot for him in the summer.

Well done!!! Just goes to show what little and often can achieve.

I'm impressed with the work you've done on the plot. Good use of pallet wood also. In fact the whole site looks neat and tidy.

                    Thanks

Ive tried to make use of things I can get for free, woodchip, pallet wood and compost from the local tip.

I must have used about 50 or so pallets, I collect some every week

                          First update of 2017

Not really done too much over the winter, I like to have atleast a month complete break to recharge

The chillis and Peppers are on the go which will go up the allotment in the summer

I had a problem with the greenhouse, I left the door open for air circulation and the cats kept getting in and knocking the pots over so I have to think of something

I decided to take two panes of glass out the door and replace with mesh so I could keep it shut and allow air in

Not much happening in the greenhouse, the cornflower developed some fungus so I put them outside, the sweet peas are looking good, whats interesting is the ones in root trainers look better in person than the ones than have been potted on.

Raised bed made from pallet wood, I think that will be a herb bed

im building 2nd one to go the other side of the path above

                            Thats it for now

                              End of March update

View from the back end of the allotment

Spent a fair bit of time making some decking out of pallets, finally got it finished and put down this week

Plenty of sowings in the greenhouse now

This is my fruit raised bed, I bought these strawberries as supercrowns, they were suppose to be much bigger than normal runners but if anything they were worse, they were very weak runners which are only now picking up a but, to be fair the company gave my a refund

Ive grown this Lambs lettuce over winter, we are harvesting it now, really nice, will definately do it again next year
